Discovery notice - NEVDIS

The National Exchange of Vehicle and Driver Information System (NEVDIS) has a planned outage affecting Discovery on Sunday 16 November 2025 from 5:00am to 7:30 am (Canberra time).    

NEVDIS data in Discovery is test data and does not reflect production data. It is intended to help PPSR users test VIN or chassis number functionality, including vehicle stolen or written-off status.  

During this outage:    

  • Discovery searches using a VIN or Chassis will not include NEVDIS information  
  • Discovery registrations using a VIN or Chassis will not include NEVDIS information.
